Hennessey VelociRaptor 500

by Alex Patrick

If there was ever a reason to take a second look at FoMoCo, this would be it. What you are looking at boys (and one or two girls), is the Hennessey which has done some serious work on the Ford F150 Raptor. The new monster has been dubbed the “VelociRaptor.”

This beast is nothing like the Raptor, as in design. Suspension has been tuned finely, under the hood is an awesome 5.4-liter V8 which puts out 501 horsepower at 5100 rpm as well as 520 pound-feet of torque. The 0-6 mark has been reduced from 8.4 to 5.6 with a quarter mile being done in just under 14.1 seconds at 97 mph.

Only 100 VelociRaptor’s will be produced yearly at a cost of $10,950 for the full kit, or Hennessey installation for an additional $4,054.

Check out the video and some press shots after the break.
