Henrik Fisker showed off his new super car Tuesday at the Detroit vehicle show regardless of lawful threats from his former company, uber-luxury manufacturer Aston Martin.

VLF Automotive– a joint venture of supplier Gilbert Villarreal, car design titan Bob Lutz and also Fisker– revealed the $268,500, 10-cylinder, 8.4-liter Force 1 at the North American International Auto Show.

The expose came after Aston Martin recently sent a letter to Fisker requiring that he take out the Force 1 from the car show or fine-tune his design to differentiate it from his previous layouts.

Fisker submitted a claim versus Aston Martin, accusing the car manufacturer of “trying to daunt me to prop up their own flailing firm” as well as seeking $100 million in damages.

A spokesman for Aston Martin, who has stated it does not talk about pending litigation, declined to comment.
