John Elwsorth, Holden marketing and sales chief has recently commented that they are pleased by the tremendous sales of their Holden Commodore model in Australian markets and will be releasing a new Special Edition Equipe car.
The Holden Commodore Special Edition Equipe is similar to the highly successful Commodore model in many aspects. Under the hood, the Equipe comes with a powerful SIDI V6 engine with 3.0 liter displacement. The SIDI V6 gives an output of 255 Horsepower and torque of 290 N-m. The car features a reverse parking camera, 18 inch alloy wheels, chrome highlighted front grill, fog lights and the Equipe badge on the outside. The interior is provided with leather coated steering wheel and upholstery. Holden has employed flex-fuel technology in the Equipe to make it run even on 85 per cent ethanol fuel. The car is supposed to be fuel efficient and gives a mileage of 8.9 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.
The Special Edition Equipe has been provided with a host of wonderful features like Traction Control System (TCS), Electronic brake assist, Electronic
brake force distribution, Electronic Stability system, Bluetooth/USB and iPod compatibility and the Touchscreen Holden-iQ system which make the driving experience very comfortable.
Elsworth also said that the rear view camera and other amazing accessories provided with the car should make it highly popular among the customers. The 2012 Commodore Special Edition Equipe has been released for sale is suuposed to cost 38,900 US dollars for the sports wagon and 36,900 US dollars for the Sedan model.
