The Honda HR-V has actually made its official world debut before this. However, now, the Japanese automaker has decided to introduce a variant of the model and this time, it comes with the European specifications. On the exterior, the car has an overall appearance that looks very much alike with the regular HR-V model that Honda unveiled during the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Yet, in addition to its look, what can European customers possibly expect to get from this vehicle model in particular?
Well, the 2015 Euro-Spec Honda HR-V comes with either a 1.6L i-DTEC diesel or a 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine. Whereas the former offers 120 hp of total power output, the latter actually offers a bit more, 130 hp of power. Both of these engine options, however, are going to come with a 6-speed manual transmission. Yet, as for the petrol variant, customers can also choose an automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT) system.
On the interior, the new Euro-Spec HR-V comes with either a 5- or 7-inch infotainment system. This system takes advantage of the navigation software from Garmin and also the Android 4.0.4 OS from Google. Yet, if customers feel like adding new apps to their list, they can always go to the Honda App Center. Inside the cabin of the vehicle, customers can also find such amenities as the MirrorLink, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI and USB connections.
The car is also going to feature a number of safety measures, such as, Traffic Sign Recognition, High Beam Support, Forward Collision Warning system, Lane Departure Warning System, City Brake Active Assist and Advanced Driver Assist. These amenities, however, may or may not be available depending on the trim of the vehicle chosen by the customers themselves.
The Japanese automaker has made an official announcement stating that the 2015 Euro-Spec Honda HR-V is going on sale no later than summer 2015.
