The Indian division of the South Korean automaker, Hyundai, has officially released a number of images that completely unveil what the i20 Active from the company has to offer. These images show just what the car holds on the exterior, interior and even under its hood. This upcoming vehicle from the South Korean company is going to make its official world debut no later than next week itself.
Truthfully speaking, this car is basically just a bigger version of the company’s i20 supermini. In fact, even the trunk capacity and the wheelbase remains exactly the same as what its supermini counterpart has in store. Well, as this car is a bigger car than the company’s i20 supermini, just like most other big cars out there, the i20 Active from Hyundai also comes with plastic body cladding which can be seen at the lower section of the front and rear bumpers, side skirts and also around the wheel arches.
Unfortunately, however, in spite of its rather masculine look, the car is only going to be equipped with an FWD drivetrain. Even the engine and transmission will be the same as those of the regular i20 supermini model. Judging by the latest official images of the vehicle, it is going to sport roof rails, cornering lamps and LED daytime running lights. In addition, the car also sits firmly on 16-inch alloy wheels.
On the interior, customers are to receive rear ventilation, ventilated glove box, adjustable steering column and driver’s seat, sound system with eight speakers, start/stop engine switch, keyless entry, aluminum pedals, automatic air conditioning system, front airbags, 1GB onboard storage, AUX, USB, Bluetooth and also two color themes to choose from, Aqua Blue and Tangerine Orange.
The Hyundai i20 Active will reportedly arrive at the shelves of the company’s Indian dealerships very soon. Yet, as for the European dealerships, nothing is known as of the moment.
