Hyundai i20 WRC begins testing

Hyundai has recently announced that they have successfully completed their first test of the i20 WRC.

The i20 WRC which is expected to enter competition somewhere in 2014 was tested to ensure that all the systems were working properly. Drivers logged more than 550 km (342 miles) and engineers will look to analyze the data and pay special attention to the performance of the model’s turbocharged 1.6-liter engine.

The Team Principal Michel Nandan stated that the first tests conducted by the car and its outputs were quite positive. He further said that he was happy about the fact that they were starting from a good base that they can use to carry on the working. The testing was all the more crucial as the company has quite a hectic schedule until the end of this year.

The Hyundai i20 WRC is slated to compete in the 2014 Rallye Monte Carlo to be held next year and so engineers will continue to test and refine the model over of the course of the next some time till the final output is achieved as desired.
