The new Hyundai i30 Wagon was presented at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, so there isn’t much information available about it. Nevertheless, Hyundai did give us enough in order to scrap together a review of the technical specifications and exterior design (which you can find here: https://www.speedlux.com/hyundai-i30-wagon-exterior/ ).
A buyer of the Hyundai i30 Wagon would have to choose from two different engines: a 1.6-liter turbo diesel, and a 2.0-liter petrol one. The diesel is pretty powerful for its capacity and is recommended to drivers who use their car a lot. The petrol one also has adequate power, but comes with less torque. Both of the engines (especially the gasoline one) can get pretty noisy at high revs.
The handling is pretty good, although under-steer can occur at times. The ABS is well tuned (which can’t be said about the ESP).
Sadly, that’s everything we know about the Hyundai i30 Wagon. We will do a full review after we get to drive it (after it goes on sale). Until then, stay tuned on speedlux.com.
