Hyundai, an automaker from the South Korea, is reportedly working on a facelift version of its ix20 vehicle model. Now, there have been quite a decent number of spy photos that are more than likely to depict the final design of the vehicle. The spy photos depict not only the exterior of the car but also the interior.
Speaking of the facelifted version of the Hyundai ix20, reports indicate that the mini MPV from the land of South Korea will be treated with a subtle nip and tuck. This, it is said, will be suitable for the mid-cycle refresh of the vehicle, giving it a redesigned hexagonal front grille, slightly redesigned front and rear bumpers, and also revised headlamps and taillights. That is for the exterior, now what about the interior? Well, taking a look at the spy photos, it can be seen that the interior is still wrapped in heavy camouflage. This can only mean that the South Korean automaker is still trying to cook up what kind of updates it will have to offer to buyers of the vehicle.
In terms of performance, the Hyundai ix20 facelift is most likely coming with a host of engines for the buyers to choose from. To begin with, there will reportedly be a 1.4L and a 1.6L petrol engines, capable of 89 and 123 bhp, respectively. For customers who prefer the diesel variants, they can get either a 1.4L or a 1.6L diesel engine, with power output rated at 89 and 115 bhp, respectively. Manual and automatic transmissions are both available for either the petrol or diesel variant.
If recent reports are to be believed, the Hyundai ix20 facelift will be making its debut later this year. It is also said that not long after its debut, its sister model from KIA, the KIA Venga, will make its debut, too.
