Some three weeks ago, Infiniti, a luxury division under the Japanese automaker Nissan, teased the public with an image that would eventually become the Q60. Now, even though the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) event has yet to start in Detroit, US, the Japanese automaker has already released the very first official image of the Infiniti Q60 concept vehicle. The company is referring to the model as a sports coupe with a premium quality to offer.
Judging by the image that the company has released, it needs no questioning that the upcoming Infiniti Q60 concept vehicle will be greatly inspired by the Infiniti Q80 Inspiration concept vehicle that the company had introduced before. The low roofline of the Q60 is one good example in this case. However, the aerodynamic gills that customers can possibly find installed at the back of the wheel arches at the front part of the car are inspired by the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rogue concept vehicle. To emphasize its aggressive style, the Q60 will sit firmly on a set of bespoke 21-inch alloy wheels. These wheels come with a design resembling a jet turbine and its spokes are painted in black, with some chrome and matte accents available as well.
In spite of the unavailability of the interior photos of the vehicle, Infiniti claims that the Q60 will be coming with quilted leather seats. In addition to these seats, the car will also be gifted with carbon fiber accents as well as leather material stitched by hands.
According to reports, the Infiniti Q60 concept vehicle will make its official debut on this upcoming January 13. This is when the NAIAS event is taking place. As for production, the Japanese automaker plans to start mass production of the model by 2015 itself, at least in the UK. Additionally, the Infiniti Q60 concept will also enter production in 2017 in Mexico.
