The Q60 concept vehicle has been previewed quite a number of times before it makes its official debut. Now, the luxury division under the Japanese automaker Nissan has officially unveiled the car in full. According to reports, the vehicle is bound to make its debut at the upcoming auto show that is going to take place in Detroit, US, within just a few days.
Infiniti is referring to the upcoming Q60 as a precursor that leads to a sports coupe with high performance. The car looks both elegant and sleek with its two-door fastback visual styling that is derived from the company’s Q80 Inspiration concept vehicle model. With that being said, it is not wondering to see the car coming with a pair of LED headlamps featuring advanced lighting technology and low roofline. Besides the Q80 Inspiration concept vehicle, it turns out that the Q60 concept also borrows some of its styling cues from the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge. This can be seen from its exhaust pipes, intakes and considerably low front fenders.
For the interior, the car comes with black and white leather door inserts and instrument cluster, paired with leather steering wheel stitched by hands. In addition to that, the vehicle also has side support bolsters for its leather seats. Bucket seats are available as well for the rear passengers and according to Infiniti, this is to give the concept an even more holistic premium feel.
In terms of performance, a 3.0L V6 direct injection engine with twin turbochargers can be expected. The engine comes from the company’s Q80 Inspiration concept vehicle. The Japanese automaker mentions that this engine is in fact a part of lighter, smaller and more efficient engines that the company will be featuring on its vehicles for the next couple of years.
