It should be safe to say that the Infiniti QX30 is one of the most highly anticipated vehicle models this year. Well, we may not get our hands on the car just yet but thankfully, the car has been caught on tape recently as it underwent some factory tests. The tests took place somewhere in the vicinity of Stuttgart, Germany.
As can be seen in the adjacent video, the vehicle – which is supposedly in its prototype version – sports twin exhaust pipes as well as LED taillights. The video also shows that this compact crossover from the luxury division that belongs to the Japanese marquee, Nissan, is going to take advantage of the MFA chassis developed by the German marquee, Mercedes-Benz. It is also said that Infiniti will be building the QX30 at a plant that belongs to Nissan, situated at Sunderland, UK.
According to recent reports, the car is quite likely to come with an engine similar to that used on the Mercedes-Benz GLA. If this is true, this means that the QX30 compact crossover from Japan will be packing a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine backed by a turbocharger. This engine spits out 211 bhp and 320 Nm of power and torque, respectively.
For those who are curious, the Japanese automaker has actually brought the Infiniti QX30 for official unveiling to the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. In addition to that, back in June 2014, Johan de Nysschen, the president of Infiniti, also made it clear that the vehicle model in question has been given green light for production. At least, so it is reported by the walkoART.
To find out more about the Infiniti QX30, perhaps you may want to see the car in action first hand yourself in the video we have included here.
