Ford Planning to Rival Chevrolet Bolt?

by SpeedLux

A new report has just emerged online, indicating that the American automaker, Ford, is trying to get a new electric vehicle (EV) model ready no later than this year itself. It is also said that this EV from the American marquee will try to take the fight to the EV from its American rival, the Chevrolet Bolt.

According to the report published by the Automobile, the Blue Oval – the nickname for Ford – is going to produce a new EV model that will have the ability to travel as far as 200 miles. If this comes into reality, then the car really deserves to stand side-by-side with the Bolt from Chevy – the nickname for Chevrolet. So far, however, we have no real clues whatsoever when it comes to the plans Ford holds for the future in terms of the EV automotive market segment. However, there is another thing that Ford should be concerned about here. The Chevrolet Bolt will not be the only contender for the company’s upcoming EV model. There is also the Tesla Model 3. The latter has somehow become a very trusted, even perhaps the most trusted, brand whenever people talk about EVs. Besides, the car is not expensive, either, with a price tag starting from as low as under $40,000.

If the most recent reports regarding the new EV from the Blue Oval are to be believed, the car is going to make its official world debut come November this year. It is the moment that this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show is slated for kickoff.
