Italdesign Giugiaro Brivido at the Geneva Motor Show

Italdesign Giugiaro is a legendary Italian car design company, together with Pininfarina, Bertone and Carrozeria Touring Superleggera. At last year’s Geneva Motor Show they revealed some hatchback concepts that were later released on the market as Volkswagens. Italdesign Giugiaro did it to show their new ownership by the German giant.

They will present a new concept to the public at the 2012 Geneva event, probably under the Volkswagen badge as well. They revealed two teaser videos that don’t show much of the new design, and a third one that shows a sketched profile and gives us a name – the Brivido.

Both Volkswagen and Italdesign Giugiaro decided to maintain the silence as to any future plans for this concept. Maybe they’ll tell us more in Switzerland in a few days, but that’s unlikely. They will most likely reveal the design and tell us a bit about the technical specifications, without giving away any of the interesting stuff, like release date (if it’s going into production) or a possible price.

As Italdesign Giugiaro usually designs sporty and aggressive looking-cars, the Brivido will probably be the same, and if it’s going to be produced with a Volkswagen badge it makes it even more interesting. Stay tuned for an update, which will come after the company’s press release in Switzerland.
