Jaguar Project 7 concept unveiled

Jaguar has officially unveiled their Project 7 concept which is set to debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend.

The Project 7 is an aluminum-bodied roadster that celebrates Jaguar’s seven victories at Le Mans between 1951 and 1990. Created within time span of just four months, the car is based on the F-Type and features a D-type inspired rear fairing with an integrated rollover hoop.

Power is provided by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that generates 550 HP (405 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. It is well mated to an eight-speed Quickshift transmission gearbox which enables the model to accelerate from 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) in just 4.2 seconds and comes with an electronically-limited top speed of 300 kmph (186 mph).

The Project 7 concept also comes with some cool features such as a sports-tuned suspension, an electronic rear differential and a free-flowing exhaust that sounds downright menacing.

As per Adrian Hallmark, the Global Brand Director of Jaguar, Project 7’s debut at the Goodwood Festival will give company a great chance to showcase the creativity of Jaguar’s design and engineering teams which has been nothing less than immaculate over the years. He further stated that the model has a sensual design and its performance is nothing less than awesome.
