Jaguar is celebrating its 75th anniversary and they have carried over the celebrations at the Pebble Beach Automotive Weekend.

The 2011 Jaguar XKR175 Coupe which has already been seen by most car lovers or enthusiasts is not the only surprise that the British manufacturer has planned as they have also unveiled the XJ75 Platinum Concept which is indeed a one a kind project. A striking white and black contrast theme indicates that there is precious platinum metal in the under skin. The striking looks have been completed by the new ground-hugging front, rear and side sills.

22 inch wheels and the Satin Matte Pearlescent White paint finish add to the grandeur of the car and then there are the exterior chrome elements which have been changed to either a dark chrome or gloss black. The interior also have been chanced to sport a classic look by adding with gloss pearlescent white air vents, veneers and diamond stitch suede inserts to the seats and headliner, all of which are set against the backdrop of full Jet Softgrain leather.

The watch is one more distinct and noticeable feature in the car. This one has been engineered and designed by Bremont Watch Company who has the fame for such creations and has been hand assembled in Switzerland. For entertainment there is the 1,200-watt Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system with 20 speakers powered through 15 channels. There is also the feature of state-of-the-art sound processing technology. For power the car has a 5.0 liter supercharged direct injection V8 which delivers 470 hp and 424 lb ft of torque.

Managing Director of Jaguar cars Mike O’Driscoll says “The new Jaguar XJ Platinum Concept celebrates Jaguar’s 75th Anniversary, and highlights the uniqueness of the XJ, and more broadly, the increasingly personal nature of luxury cars in today’s market. The XJ is thoroughly modern, and captures the innovative and daring character that our founder Sir William Lyons built into every Jaguar. And the design team clearly had some fun making their first one-of-a-kind XJ design concept in that spirit.”
