Jaguar’s first ever crossover, the Jaguar F-Pace has been showcased at the Tour De France in Utrecht, Netherlands this weekend. The British carmaker is going to flash its F-Pace supporting duties that will continue throughout competition. The car was introduced to an audience of a million people as the car was inaugurated by five Team Sky riders, Ian Stannard, Luke Rowe, Peter Kennaugh, Leoppold Konig and Chris Froone in what Jaguar Land Rover official called “a pressurized real world test of Jaguar’s first performance crossover.” Furthermore, the head of Team Sky’s Technical Operations concluded by saying, “The atmosphere in Utrecht was incredible. The Netherlands has a huge passion for cycling and right from the moment we arrived at the start line, you could feel the excitement. The appearance of Jaguar’s F-Pace prototype definitely added to the hype today- you could see it made a big impact with the crowds.”
Interestingly, the venue was extremely special for Jaguar as it had supported Team Sky in its previous campaigns as well. “We are delighted to be supporting Team Sky again at such a prestigious sporting event and are excited at the prospect of the F-Pace being seen in action in public for the first time,” Kevin Stride, the CUV line director, said in the attached statement. “The Jaguar F-Pace is a striking balance of performance, style, and practicality. And what better way to showcase the vehicle’s attributes than on this crucial first leg of the Tour de France.”
