Kia has taken the curtains off their Cross GT concept at the Chicago Auto Show.
Set to represent the “beauty and sophistication of the GT concept with the working about crossover,” the Cross GT has an unfriendly appearance due to its short overhangs and long wheelbase. Other attractive traits include a prominent grille, rear-hinged doors and a multiple paneled sky light with hexagonal glass inserts. As a whole, the concept measures 192.8 inches long, 79.1 inches wide and also 65.3 inches tall with a wheelbase that covers 122.0 inches.
The bespoke cabin comes properly fitted with leather upholstery, American Walnut trim and also a touch screen infotainment system. While it only has four seats, it would be prudent to imagine the model as a seven seater monster.
Power comes from a hybrid 3.8-liter V6 engine which is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system. This system helps the model to have a combined maximum output of 400 bhp (298 kW) and 500 lb-ft (677 Nm) of torque. The mean machine can also travel up to 20 miles (32 km) on electricity alone due to a small electric motor which is fitted between the engine and transmission.
We have heard about the features and the engine specifications but the performance details are still not out in the open which will be out too since the Chicago auto show has started.
