Kia Motors topped an initial quality research study of new vehicles sold in the United States based on owner responses for the second successive year, business consultancy J.D. Power stated last week.
Hyundai’s Genesis vehicles came second in the study, followed by Porsche.
Fiat Chrysler’s Ram and Ford Motor’s namesake brand name took the 4th spot.
Fiat, Jaguar Land Rover’s high-end vehicle brand Jaguar and Volvo ranked at the bottom.
BMW’s Mini was the most enhanced brand, with owners reporting fewer problems than in last year. Ford was also among the brands with strong enhancement in quality, the study stated.
Brands of Hyundai, General Motors and BMW were amongst the highest ranked in the study.
J.D. Power got over 80,000 responses from owners of new 2017 model-year cars in the first 90 days of ownership. In a 233-question study, the owners reported problems experienced with their purchases.
