Koenigsegg Agera R is capable of 0-100km/h in 2.9 sec flat, 0-200km/h in 7.5 sec

The high speed roof-box which had been proposed as an accessory to the Koenigsegg Agera R made it a star attraction at the Geneva Show. Other details of the car had been wanting till the car maker came out recently with these details.

In the performance figures, the Agera R can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph or 62 mph in 2.9 seconds or less. A sprint from 0 to 200 kmph or 124 mph takes just 7.5 seconds. The car features ventilated ceramic brakes which gives it the impressive acceleration and deceleration feature like 0 to 200 kmph and then to stop, that is 0 to 124 mph to zero in 12.7 seconds.

The car boasts of a 5.0 liter V8 engine that can develop an earth shattering 1,115 HP at 6,900 rpm. This, when the car is run on E85 ethanol. The car is also capable of running on 95 octane petrol and would generate an impressive 940 hp or 1,050 hp when run on 98 octane gasoline. The top speed of the car is more than 420 kmph or 261 mph.

The other equipment fit of the car that makes it unique are the adaptive rear wing, hydraulic lifting system, satellite navigation system and the G sensor which can make its passengers feel up to 1.6G of lateral g-force. The car also swanks of leather carpets and a silver key.

There are certain optional features that the car maker offers but that comes at added costs. These include a visible carbon body, front winglets, rear view camera, heated seats, ski box roof, skis, Inconel exhaust system and winter wheel package. Cost of the car though not officially announced is expected to be more than €1,000,000 ($1,410,000).
