It had been reported quite a few times before that the automaker Koenigsegg would be launching a new vehicle it dubbed the Regera soon enough. Although the car itself has yet to make any appearances anywhere in the world, information about the vehicle just keeps on storming the World Wide Web pages. Now, a report indicates that the vehicle is going to pack an electric motor that has a total power output of 515 kW. That is equivalent to 690 bhp. Needless to say, this is a very powerful electric motor, perhaps even the most powerful ever in the entire world.
As reported by the EVO, it is more than likely that this latest creation from Koenigsegg will prove to be the quickest – in terms of acceleration – and most powerful mass production vehicle model ever on the planet. As such, it is really not exaggerative, it seems, if the automaker in charge of the vehicle refers to it as a ‘megacar’.
Based on the information extracted from a number of reports and rumors that recently hit the World Wide Web, it seems that the Koenigsegg Regera will not be a successor to the outgoing Agera model. Instead, the car will come as an entirely different vehicle model than the company’s Agera. It is also said that the upcoming Regera will be gifted with a cabin that is actually more luxurious than that of the Koenigsegg Agera. Also, in order to make the car faster than the Agera, the Regera will most likely feature lighter material for the construction of its body.
Well, to know for sure, perhaps it is best to witness the car and its powerful hybrid system when this year’s Geneva Motor Show event finally opens its doors. After all, the car is slated for debut at this particular auto expo.
