by SpeedLux

Till now the much awaited Lamborghini Cabrera has been caught on the camera by way of pictures on various occasions. But this time the model has been spied and a video of the same has been released undergoing testing on the tracks of Nurburgring.

The Gallardo successor will use the same platform as the Audi R8 and will come fitted with its naturally-aspirated V10 5.2-liter engine but will slight upgradation. There are reports that suggest that output will be somewhere around 600 hp (447 kW) and it will be connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The company will make extensive use of lightweight materials including carbon fiber and fiberglass that will help reduce the weight of Cabrera to around 1,500 kg (3,306 lbs). This should enable the super car to achieve 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) in around just 3.2 seconds and could hit a top speed in excess of 300 kmph.

We can expect to see the Cabrera Coupe being launched sometime in the year 2015 with the open-top convertible following about a year later. So we expect more details to be released as the launch time nears and till then we have to be content with the spy details.
