Soon enough, when we approach January 2015, North America may well be one of the most popular destinations to visit. One reason is because the North America International Auto Show (NAIAS), also known as the Detroit Auto Show, is going to open its doors to the public on January 12, 2015. Yet, besides that, it seems that the Italian automaker, Lamborghini, also has its very own agenda in the country. As you know, the company is in charge of producing the Aventador as well as the Huracan models. Considering that these models come with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) drivetrain, it should be no big deal driving them in the snow. This is what Lamborghini is planning to do. Through its Squadra Corse division, the Italian company is planning to organize the so-called Winter Academia program. This will be the very first time the event is held in North America. It is expected to last from February 5-7, 6-8 and it will take place at Aspen, Colorado.
Those who are keen on taking part in this particular event held by Lamborghini, they will find themselves divided into some small groups. These groups will have the privilege of receiving instructions and guidance from the professional instructors at the Italian car manufacturing company. These instructors will show participants of the program how they should really deal with such extreme weather conditions as ice and snow while driving a Lamborghini model, with a total power output reaching over 600 hp in average.
The registration book is now open and those who are interested in the program can start paying a visit to the official site of the Lamborghini Squadra Corse. Yet, for those who want to see a preview video first prior to signing up for the program, they may as well watch the video here. The Winter Academia program, by the way, is going to take place at the Aspen Motorsport Park.
