Lexus RC four-door coupe imagined as a rival to the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe

You could say there is a sort of a craze for four-door coupes. Technically anything with four or more doors is not coupe, but there are so many cars today that are called four-door coupes, that we have stopped counting.

Germans are clearly the ones who started it with Mercedes CLS and now there are automakers who already have 2 models that are being classified as four-door coupes.

Besides bigger Mercedes CLS, Audi A7 and BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe all three have smaller CLA, A5 Sportback and 4 Series Gran Coupe.

Japanese luxury car maker Lexus is also reportedly working on their first four-door coupe and the renderings you see here are a beautiful take by Theophilus Chin imagining a smaller RC GT, going against the 4 Series Gran Coupe, Audi A5 Sportback and the rumored C-Class based four-door coupe.

Based on the RC Coupe he has really nailed it this time and we would love to see it in production.
