The 2015 Shanghai Motor Show event is already very close now as it is only days before the event will finally kick off. Yet, for some unknown reasons, the Japanese automaker, Lexus, has taken the liberty of releasing an official image that teases the company’s upcoming ES model. Well, it is true that the image may not reveal too much about the vehicle but still, careful eyes should be able to predict what to possibly expect from the model. Perhaps Lexus is trying to build a momentum here before the model actually debuts at the upcoming Shanghai Motor Show event.
This mid-size luxury sedan from the Japanese automaker that belongs to Toyota is now in its 6th generation. The predecessor has been out in the market for quite a while now, around three years. As such, it is just about time that Lexus brings a mid-cycle refresh for the model and the company has done just that.
Taking a look at the teaser image released by Lexus, it can be seen that the new ES will be coming with newly designed headlamps, complete with black graphics as well as LED daytime running lights. The design of the new headlamps adopts the boomerang style. This style, if you remember, can also be seen on other models that Lexus has recently introduced to the world.
In addition to the boomerang headlamps, the front fascia of the car also sports a redesigned front spindle grille, a sharper front bumper that hosts angular fog lamps. Yes, the fog lamps are no longer circular as seen on the outgoing ES model.
Unfortunately, that is as far as we know in respect to the 2016 Lexus ES. Other details still remain a mystery as of this moment. Nonetheless, one thing is for sure, though. The Japanese company claims that the successor to the company’s present ES model will retain its classical elegance. At the same time, the new ES will also convey a more luxurious craftsmanship and a more dynamic driving experience.
