Well known tuner Lorinser has recently introduced their new tuning program based on the Mercedes S-Class at the recently concluded Essen Motor Show.
The sedan certainly looks a bit controversial and has been equipped with an aerodynamic body kit that includes features such as modified bumpers, a revised grille and numerous carbon fiber flaps. Other highlights of the model include a sports exhaust system and unique alloy wheels.
Under the hood, the performance has been increased as the S500’s 4.6-liter V8 engine can be tuned to generate an output of 530 HP (390 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque which is an increase of 75 HP (55 kW) and 100 Nm (73 lb-ft) of torque. The tuner did not release the performance specifications but if we talk about the standard model, it can accelerate from 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) in 4.8 seconds and comes with an electronically-limited top speed of 250 kmph (155 mph).
With slightly higher output, we can only expect the performance to get better though we will have to obtain details from the tuner himself which may happen soon.
