Only recently, the eyes of some car enthusiasts out there have managed to catch what seems to be an M Sport BMW 3-Series facelift. It seems that this particular facelifted version of the luxury German sedan is undergoing some factory tests of sorts. It is quite safe to say that it is an M Sport BMW 3-Series facelift indeed, taking into consideration that the car only wears light camouflage, which gives out most of the parts of the vehicle in question.
Normally, when an automaker is launching a completely new vehicle model, it will make sure that it covers the new vehicle model with heavy camouflage. However, this is not the case with facelifts. With that being said, it is more than likely that the BMW 3-Series spotted here is actually a facelift version indeed. For this facelift version, the vehicle will seemingly be treated with new front and rear bumpers, newly designed vehicle turn signals, LED headlamps – as an optional package – and also LED taillights.
It is also reported that the German company’s Life Cycle Impulse program will offer the vehicle as a plug-in hybrid variant as well. It is said that the vehicle may well come with a turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder engine combined with an electric motor. Mated to the company’s new 8-speed Steptronic transmission, total power is expected to be at 245 hp whereas total torque is expected to be at 400 Nm.
It is reported that the lithium ion battery featured on this facelift version will be adequate to cover a distance of 35 km. And, in addition to this facelift version, the German automaker is also reported to be working on an entry-level model. It is said that this model will borrow the turbocharged 1.5L 3-cylinder engine that is also used on MINI branded vehicles.
