Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M is all set to present a brand-new MPV (Multi-Utility Vehicle) to take on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, as per ET Now. The channel stated that the brand-new MPV is most likely to be launched some time next year. M&M is also considering UVs in the range above the XUV 5OO. Anand Mahindra’s M&M is also wanting to increase its SUV line-up and is preparing to develop two new platforms for the very same.
As per the report, Mahindra and Mahindra is working on establishing 2 brand-new platforms for top-end SUVs. The auto major is progressing on 3 brand-new worldwide platforms to improve its portfolio, the channel reported. The report recommended that the platforms are being developed at the company’s North America Technical Center.
Mahindra and Mahindra is preparing to have petrol variations in its product lineup by 2018. The automaker had previously introduced the 1.99-L mHawk engine in both its designs to beat the ban. The automaker will now export Scorpios with fuel engine from India.
Pawan Goenka, Executive Director, Mahindra and Mahindra stated, “Any product that we introduce from a year after will feature a petrol engine. We are currently working on a 1.5 L petrol engine. So the fuel engines powering the future cars will be either of the 3: 1.2, 1.5 or 2.0 L.” Mahindra is preparing to make brand-new generation designs with the South Korean-based producer, Ssangyong, particularly for the regional market. The company is likewise planning to work on hybrid and electrical automobiles.
