Porsche and Martini Racing have come together after a long gap of five years with the later unveiling a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Martini will unveil the car in Barcelona on May 12 to honor the completion of their 150 years.

The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup will compete in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and will be driven by Sébastien Loeb who has been nine-time world rally champion. Loeb will compete in first two races and in the third race which will be held in September, an unknown driver will take charge of the car.

Jonas Krauss, Head of Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, was pretty excited with the revived merger of the two and he went on to say that the combined team of Porsche and Martini has been superb in the races and have won some of the best and most coveted titles including numerous titles of Le Mans 24 hours race. The first car that came out of this venture was a Porsche 906 way back in 1968. He also expressed his happiness on partnering with Martini and on its 150th anniversary year.
