Official images of the mid-range McLaren 650S have now surfaced on the net, along with some preliminary details which has been obtained from a private presentation of the model.

Recently McLaren had released a teaser for the 650S and now we have got some juicy details about the model through a private presentation and we have come to know that the model will be slotted between the entry-level 12C and the range-topping P1. Jenson Button helped McLaren with the development of the 12C-based 650S which now generates an output of 650 HP (478 kW) from its twin-turbo V8 3.8-liter engine.

The article from Sunday Times mentions that the vehicle’s suspension, aerodynamics, brakes, transmission and tires have been upgraded for the 650S, a model which will probably replace the 12C since the two models are pretty much similar. Talking about styling, McLaren has applied the front fascia of the P1 onto the 650S while the rear of the car has been carried over from the 12C.
