McLaren 675LT Official Image Leaked

by SpeedLux

The British automaker, McLaren, is reportedly working on a new vehicle model dubbed the 675LT. The company has not revealed anything about the car but a teaser image that was released recently. Unfortunately enough for the British company, however, an official image of its upcoming vehicle model has now been leaked on the internet.

It can be seen from the said image that the rear fascia of the vehicle comes with heavy modification compared to its predecessors. However, it may remind us a bit of the taillights used on the company’s MP4-12C. Yet, according to McLaren, the car actually pays a tribute to the company’s legendary F1 GTR Long Tail for the 1997 model year. Also, compared to the 650S Coupe, the car has its downforce improved by some 40 percent.

Duel titanium exhaust pipes are also visible at the rear end. Located right under the redesigned airbrake, these circular exhaust pipes go through the exposed bodywork of the vehicle. Other components visible at the rear end of the car include a new diffuser and vented rear fenders. In addition to those elements mentioned earlier, the car has also been equipped with modified side vents and side skirts with extra air vents.

The car will expectedly get its power from a 3.8L V8 engine with twin turbochargers. This engine gives the vehicle a total power and torque of 675 hp – which is why the car is named the 675LT – and 700 Nm, respectively.

The McLaren 675LT is set to make its global debut when the 2015 Geneva Motor Show event kicks off next month. Reports suggest the car will only be available as a coupe.
