McLaren has some superb plans to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The company recently announced plans to bring a variety of historic models to the Goodwood Festival of Speed to celebrate the anniversary.
The company did not reveal the exact details as to which cars would be on display but hinted that there will be some of the most famous race and championship-winning models from the brand’s illustrious past. The cars will be shown alongside the latest 12C GT Can-Am Edition which was announced in November last year.
As previously reported the 12C GT Can-Am Edition has been described as the rawest and most track-focused model in the history of the company. It features an aerodynamic body kit and comes with an unrestricted twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine that is capable of generating 630 hp (470 kW). Other highlights of the vehicle include a sports steering wheel, a roll cage and black racing seats with six-point harnesses.
As the names suggests, the car would be a limited edition and only 30 units will be produced. The car comes with a base price of £375,000 (approx. €444,625 / $582,040).
