The McLaren P1 has supposedly managed to lap the tracks of Nürburgring in an amazing time of just 6 minutes and 47 seconds.
At the beginning of September there were rumors about McLaren refusing to confirm P1’s time of 7 minutes and 4 seconds to lap around the Nürburgring as the super car was just too slow during the attempt. But now recently, one of the user on YouTube has posted a video with the P1 while tackling Nordschleife and he says that the car lapped the German track in the above mentioned time which would also make it the fastest vehicle ever to lap the circuit, making it a full second quicker than the Radical SR8 LM.
However the record has is yet to be confirmed by McLaren but if the lap time is correct and accurate we can expect the news to be officially revealed soon by the company, unless McLaren has plans to improve the time even further if possible. This rumor coincides with the beginning of P1 deliveries and also with McLaren posting final performance figures for its latest super car which is able to accelerate to 0-62 mph (100 kmph) in just 2.8 seconds and can hit an electronically-capped top speed of 217 mph (350 kmph).
