McLaren Special Operations reveals MSO 12C Concept with various tweaks

by SpeedLux

McLaren has recently unveiled a custom 12C to draw attention to the capabilities of the firm’s bespoke division.

McLaren Special Operations (MSO) was established way back in August 2011 and since then the division has given some pretty interesting cars that include the MP4-12C High Sport and the radical X1. McLaren’s bespoke division has now returned with the MSO 12C Concept which has gained quite a few tweaks, including a redesigned hood, front wing louvers and rear wing vents.

The car also comes equipped with a unique airbrake and an updated roof featuring a built-in snorkel that channels air to the engine. All of these new items are manufactured from carbon fiber which has resulted in lower weight, while titanium wheel bolts, oil and water filler caps have lowered the 12C’s weight even further.

Not only in exteriors, the carbon fiber material has been used in the interiors as well where the instrument cluster has been made from this lightweight material and has also received integrated shift lights. The lightweight wheels have also received a fresh design for this concept specially.
