Some time earlier, the British automaker, McLaren, decided to give the public a teaser of what to expect from its new vehicle model, the 675LT. Now, the company has once again provided the public with a teaser video clip, this time partially revealing what to expect from the rear fascia of the upcoming vehicle.
Paying close attention to the official teaser video recently released by the British company, it is clearly visible that the upcoming British supercar is coming with dual titanium circular exhaust pipes. These pipes can be seen located just below the airbrake and they extend through the exposed bodywork of the vehicle. The British automaker claims that it has specifically designed such system for the 675LT, for the sake of reducing weight and at the same time increasing the performance of the car.
Speaking of the performance, the new British supercar is going to pack an upgraded 3.8L V8 engine that is blessed with twin turbochargers. Thanks to this very engine, the new 675LT from McLaren is well capable of delivering 675 hp and 700 Nm of power and torque. Those figures are higher than those of the McLaren 650S. The latter comes with a power lower by 25 hp and a torque lower by 22 Nm when compared to the company’s upcoming supercar model.
The teaser video also seems to depict that the McLaren 675LT will sport a long tail body. If this is true, it will pay tribute to the company’s 1997 F1 GTR Long Tail. If this is the case, its downforce will be 40% better than that of the McLaren 650S.
McLaren unveils that the new 675LT will enter the slot above the automaker’s Super Series vehicle lineups. This means that the car will be at a level higher than both the McLaren 650S and the Asia-only McLaren 625C. The 675LT is set to make its debut on March 3, 2015, when the 2015 Geneva Motor Show officially begins.
