Development work continues on the Mercedes AMG GT as some of the spy cameramen have managed to click images of a new prototype with a different exhaust system.

Looking pretty identical to the prototype that we saw recently, the new model now comes fitted with a four-tailpipe exhaust system that suggests it could be a high-performance variant. As of now it is very difficult to comment on other changes, if any, but, previous prototypes have used a dual exhaust system.

Mercedes has not revealed much detail about engine specifications but previous reports have indicated the model could be offered with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that will be able to generate outputs of approximately 485 HP (357 kW) and 550 HP (404 kW). There have also been rumors about a Black Series variant but the lack of additional changes suggests this is more of a mainstream model.

As previously reported, the car is expected to be unveiled later this year and executives have already given tags to the model such as “pure sport” and the “the most beautiful car we’ve ever designed.”
