Just a couple of weeks ahead of the opening of the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the luxury German automaker, Mercedes-Benz, has officially unveiled its latest creation. This time around, the German company has officially shown off what it calls the SL 417 Mille Miglia. The car will reportedly bow at the Geneva Motor Show event this oncoming March.
Speaking of this SL-Class vehicle model from Mercedes-Benz in particular, the SL500 and SL320 for the 1995 model year were also treated with the Mille Miglia moniker. Now, this treatment is also being applied onto the company’s latest generation SL500 and SL400 models. This is actually to celebrate the 60th anniversary since the company’s SL model that had 417 as its race number became the victor at the Mille Miglia event. In addition to that, the company’s Stirling Moss model became the overall winner in the company’s 300 SLR model.
The 417 Mille Miglia will reportedly be offered to customers as an additional package and that no more than 500 Mercedes-Benz vehicles will be able to benefit from it. This package will provide customers with a host of things that include red accents on the brake calipers, rear apron, front spoiler lip and also on the 19- or 20-inch bespoke alloy wheels. Customers will also be able to find a number of matte and red carbon accents on the interior of the vehicle. Other notable components on the interior include the Mille Miglia 417 badging.
If the most recent reports are to be believed, customers will be able to witness the 417 Mille Miglia package in application at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show event. However, in order to be eligible for this particular package, customers will have to pay around 12,800 to 14,000 Euros. The package will also provide customers with adaptive dampers.
