The luxury German automaker, Mercedes-Benz, is seemingly prepping a facelifted version of its A-Class vehicle lineups. This facelift is reportedly designated to be a 2016 model year vehicle. Now, the car has been spotted, both on the inside and outside. So, what is the facelift likely to offer?
When it was recently spotted in a parking lot, the car was wrapped in camouflage, albeit not necessarily a heavy one. When spotted, it came with an updated front fascia. This time around, the car comes with a set of LED headlamps that flank its newly designed single bar front grille. In addition to the updated front fascia, the car also comes with a rear fascia that looks different from that of its predecessor. However, the update for the rear fascia is actually quite modest that it takes a while to note the differences between the new and the old rear ends of the vehicle.
As for the interior, although it has been spotted, it seems that Mercedes has really made sure that nothing much will be revealed out of it. Thing is, the elements inside the car cabin is covered with multiple pieces of clothes. Nonetheless, judging from the position of the clothes covering the components inside the cabin, the car will expectedly come with a new vehicle infotainment system, a redesigned transmission shift lever and also a revised steering wheel.
As for the engine, some say the car will come with options similar to the engines used on the B-Class facelift. If this is correct, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz A-Class may have engine options ranging from a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine to 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. The former may have 90 PS of power whereas the latter may offer up to 211 PS of power as well as 350 Nm of torque.
