The luxury automaker from Germany, Mercedes-Benz, has often shown how innovative it can be in the world of automobiles. This time, too, the company has proven that it has not lost its touch for innovation. Ahead of the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the German company has teased a new autonomous driving technology. The technology is likely to make its debut in the coming week.
The German company may not be the only one when it comes to self-driving technology. However, it may have something different to offer when compared to its competitors. For those who take their time to take a closer look at the teaser image released by the German company, they will be able to see that the concept vehicle teased in the image has an interesting and highly aerodynamic design. It also seems to carry a low roofline. In addition to that, the front and rear overhangs of the vehicle look extremely short. Some spy shots captured so far also suggest that the upcoming German vehicle will feature taillights that stretch across the entire rear fascia of the car. Expect big alloy wheels to make appearance as well.
Some also expect that Mercedes-Benz will also have the vehicle equipped with radars and cameras which will enable the car to drive itself. And, because it is a concept, there is nothing wrong to expect premium materials to be available inside the cabin of the car. A central table and a wood floor are not impossible at all.
Speaking of its upcoming concept vehicle, Mercedes-Benz claims that the car will eventually show itself to the public for the very first time at the 2015 CES, scheduled to take place on January 5, 2015, exactly at 8:00 p.m. PDT, in Las Vegas, US. The company also claims that it is the chairman of Daimler, Dr. Dieter Zetsche, himself that will introduce this very exciting vehicle.
