MG Motor India, a part of China’s SAIC Motor Corporation, has revealed its electric SUV model ZS. This is MG’s second product in India following the Hector SUV.
The vehicle will come with a 44.5 kWh battery, providing a range of around 340 km on a single charge.
The ZS has a sky roof and an inbuilt air purifier.
This electric car contains projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, Android Auto, Apple Car Play, among other attractive features.
Up-front, the large grille, that houses the charging port, dominates the fascia. The headlamps, with its integrated daytime running lights, look attractive.
The expected cost of MG ZS will be about Rs 25 lakh ($35,263).
The official release of the MG ZS EV is going to take place in the month of January 2020.
The ZS model would be produced at the manufacturing facility of the company at Halol, Gujarat.
The company will start ZS sell with only five cities which are Ahmedabad, Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore.
The vehicle will rival against the likes of South Korea’s Hyundai Motor Kona, the only other brand with an electric SUV in the country.
