Chinese owned MG brand has been selling their MG6 in the United Kingdom past a year, and until now they had been offering petrol engine, but now they seem to understand the fact that to survive in the cut throat market, they will have to come up with a Diesel model, and so have they done that, they have brought in a Diesel powered MG6.
The MG6 has made an addition of a new 1.9-liter DTi-TECH turbo diesel, the first of its kind from the British firm’s parent company SAIC Motor. The four-cylinder oil-burner produces 148bhp (150PS) and peak torque of 258 lb-ft (350Nm) at 1,800rpm, and is connected to a six-speed manual gearbox driving the front wheels. The company says that, it can do a 0-62mph (100km/h) sprint in 8.9 seconds and a maximum speed of 120mph (193km/h). Fuel efficiency figure would be at 46.1 mpg UK (6.2 l/km) Urban, 59.0 mpg UK (4.8l/km) Extra Urban and 53.5 mpg UK (5.3 l/km) Combined, and CO2 emissions of 139g/100km.
