The new 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

The new 2011 Outlander Sport which has been recently announced by Mitsubishi comes as a new model addition to their Outlander line-up. The Mitsubishi customers in US market will have an option to choose between two trim levels i.e. ES and SE. The new SUV will be sold to US customers in two versions consisting of two-wheel drive and a four-wheel drive.

The power plant of the 2011 Outlander Sport from Mitsubishi is a 2.0 L inline-4 engine that has a maximum power rating of over 148 hp produced at 6000 RPM. The inline-4 engine produces a peak torque of 143 lb. feet at 4200 RPM. A Sportronic ® Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) is featured in the SE model while the ES version is expected to come with a five speed manual gearbox.

The new Mitsubishi outlander sport models include standard equipments consisting of air conditioning with pollen filters along with cruise control system. The controls of the cruise control system are mounted on the steering wheel. The other standard equipments include power windows and door locks, remote keyless entry, and tilt and telescoping steering wheel. The 2011 outlander sport models will also have a 140 W AM, FM, CD, and MP3 audio system. The controls of the audio system will be mounted on the tilt and telescopic steering wheel. The SUV will have four 140 W speakers along with other stereo components including digital signal processor, speed compensated volume, and the new equalization control.
