The new Volkswagen Jetta doesn’t look this time as Golf hatchback with a trunk, instead it has got a new design made from scratch. The shape of the new 2011 Jetta is longer with 90 mm which brings a tone of style to its shape.
The interior is much more spacious, which adds to the improved experience. There are new engines as well. The first is a 104bhp 1.2 TSI petrol unit, followed by a 121bhp 1.4 TSI and a range-topping 200bhp 2.0-litre TSI. Diesel options comprise a 104bhp 1.6 TDI and a 138bhp 2.0-litre TDI.
All bar the 1.2 can be specified with the twin-clutch DSG gearbox. BlueMotion versions of the 1.2 and 1.6 will include a stop-start system and brake regeneration. The petrol car promises 44mpg economy and 124g/km of CO2; the diesel 69mpg and 109g/km.
The 2011 Volkswagen Jetta will be in showrooms in May 2011 and the cheapest version will cost £17,000.

The new 2011 Jetta looks really nice — starting to resemble the A4, but with a much nicer price tag.
