Porsche has announced they will be unveiling their new version of the 911 at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. With the new model, Porsche plan to reach out to their traditional customers back again and to establish and continue with their future plans under the directions of their parent company Volkswagen.
This engineering marvel which will surely set records will be available in the UK by the October of 2010. This model in the coupé and cabriolet body style has been thoroughly re-engineered and has been given a new exterior styling, new revamped interior that are of a far better quality and is powered by a six-cylinder boxer engines that are more powerful while being fuel efficient at the same time. The new 911 also has been endowed with sharpened dynamics and an improved list of high-end options. With the launch of this brand new 911 it will be placed up market which will also enable Porsche to easily re-organise their model line up so that they can easily introduce new entry level model that they plan to develop in collaboration with Volkswagen.
It has always been a tradition at Porsche to include wide ranging modification in the 911 after every second generation. The currently under sale 997 is considered as an evolution of its predecessor after receiving some extensive facelift job. Its predecessor incidentally is the new 991 which has been developed from scratch. And the new development in the cars have convinced the Weissach engineers who hope that it may proceed to the next level of models even which is seen to be launched by 2017 without it having to undergo any serious and major modifications.
