As per the reports coming in, a new BMW i Concept vehicle will make its world debut and the BMW i8 Concept Roadster will make its North American auto show debut at the 2012 Los Angeles International Auto Show on Wednesday, November 28th at the BMW Stand.
The variants are the next generation of vehicles from BMW i series, also there will be a unveiling of the BMW Concept K2 Powder Ride for cold weather sports enthusiasts. The new vehicle which are purpose-built from the ground up as electric and hybrid electric and constructed primarily from lightweight carbon fiber. The vehicle under the i series, namely the the BMW i3 and BMW i8 will be brought to the market in 2013 and 2014 respectively. While the i8 roadster concept is an two seater with open roof, along with an athletic design and a sleek, low slung, silver and bright blue exterior, the fuel consumption of the roasdter is 78 mpg, whereas it can accelerate 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds on the way to an electronically governed top speed of 155 mph. And as for the Winter series, they will be launching the BMW Concept K2 Powder Ride, which will be equipped with roof rails, door sill strips, a snowboard bag, all-weather floor mats, roof mounted Harman Kardon sound system, ambient lighting, and 18″ alloy wheels.At the stand they will also be showcasing the newly updated 2013 BMW 7 Series which will set new benchmarks in its class for performance, luxury, efficiency and safety, some new features included are selection of fuel-saving strategies like stop/start technology, regenerative braking and a driver selectable “eco” driving mode. And some new updates are, that the 7 Series will boast a revised exterior that include new technologies such as such as available LED headlights.
