For those who own the 2016 model year Ranger Rover Sport – or those looking to buy the car, there is good news coming. They are about to get new features and engine options available for purchase. This has been announced by the luxury British automaker, Land Rover.
As pointed out by the British company, customers planning to buy the vehicle will be able to choose a diesel variant, to begin with. This will grant them with a 3.0L V6 Td6 turbodiesel engine. With this engine, owners of the model will be able to enjoy 254 bhp and 595 Nm of power and torque. For an alternative to the engine, customers can also go for the variant that comes with the SDV8 engine, which is a diesel variant as well. The latter comes with engine start/stop function.
Future proud owners of the next generation Range Rover Sport will also benefit from what was previously called the InControl Remote. Now, this function has been renamed to InControl Protect. This function has the ability to make an automated emergency call should an accident take place. Also, owners of the car will be able to lock or unlock the vehicle from a distance, remotely honk the horn, reset the alarm and also flash the lamps of the vehicle with the InControl Remote Premium service. Yet, if all those are not enough, customers can also expect surround cameras, improved rearview cameras, Auto Access Height and also All Terrain Progress Control systems that have now become standard.
Last but not least, buyers of the 2016 Range Rover Sport will also be offered a host of new options to personalize their vehicle. Take for an example the new Carbon Fiber package. This will see the car equipped with tailgate, side air vents, mirrors, front grille surround and also lacquer accents with a high gloss.
