The luxury Italian automaker, which is also one of the best automakers in the world, Ferrari, has launched the successor to its 458 Italia, the 488 GTB only recently. Yet, there have been quite a decent number of renderings coming up of several other variants of the model. As per the latest report, another rendering has emerged on the web and this time, it shows the vehicle with its top down. Of course, this one sounds just as exciting as the recent 488 GTBX rendering.
Coming from the project undertaken by the X-Tomi Design, the turbocharged prancing horse from Italy has been treated with a virtual Ferrari-typical Spider modification. What the Hungarian designer has done, it seems, is simply remove the roof of the vehicle and also add some appropriate details at the back of the headrests of the front seats.
Well, for anyone who thinks that such a model is not quite likely to come out, if at all, they really will have to think again, it seems. After all, the Maranello-based automaker actually launched a Spider version of the predecessor of the 488 GTB, the 458. So, taking that into consideration, it really will not come much of a surprise if the company is actually prepping a convertible 488 GTB similar to the rendering released by the X-Tomi Design.
Just as a kind reminder while we wait for the Ferrari 488 GTB Spider to actually roll out of the Maranello factory, the Ferrari 458 Spider comes with an aluminum hardtop that can either be retracted or put up in just fourteen seconds. That roof, just so you know, is not really the work of Ferrari. It’s made by the Webasto AG, a company based in Germany, instead.
Well, if you are curious on how the Ferrari 488 GTB Spider a la X-Tomi Design looks like, it is depicted on the adjacent image.
