The brand new Lexus CT 200h hybrid hatchback has paved its way to the shores of UK. Developed for sale in the European market, the base price starts from £23,485 OTR. The cost is £1,380 less than the least expensive model in the Japanese firm that is lined up next in the UK list. The Japanese sedan is the IS 200d that is equipped with a 150 HP 2.2 liter turbo engine that runs on diesel.
The CT 200h is compact in its size and uses a 1.8 liter gasoline engine. The engine runs in tandem with an electric motor, a battery with a high performance rate, and a generator that produces an output of 134 Hp in combination with a hybrid powertrain. The CT 200h accelerates from 0 – 62mph (100km/h) in 10.3 seconds en route to a top speed of 112mph (181km/h). The car boasts of a combined fuel economy of 68.9mpg UK which is equivalent to to 4.1lt/100km and 57.4mpg US while CO2 emitted is 94g/km.
In the United Kingdom, the car’s availability is made of three model grades: SE-I, SE-L and SE-L Premier. All the three levels are fitted with alloy wheels of either 16 or 17 inch according to the preference of the customers. It also has dual zone climate control, a USB port and an Aux socket for the connection of portable music players made easy, Bluetooth for mobile connection and to stream audio files, front fog lights, wipers that are automatic and dark tinted rear privacy glass.
