The Detroit Auto Show is going to open its doors to the general public very soon. However, it seems that there are always some people who can’t really wait that long to get to know what is in store, like some of the spy photographers out there. Speaking of these spy photographers, some of them have managed to capture images of both the exterior and interior of the 2015 Lincoln MKX. The vehicle is slated for debut in the automotive exhibition event that will take place this January 2015 in Detroit, North America, US.
When spotted, the 2015 Lincoln MKX was only wearing a light disguise. Staying true to the concept version, the MKX will be coming with subtle front grille with the butterfly wing-style design. The car’s front fascia also looks pretty attractive and aggressive, thanks to its new headlamps that are entirely made of LEDs. The car will also be coming with a largely sized brushed metallic bar framing the air intakes visible on the front bumper. And as for the rear fascia, it will feature LED combination taillights as well, just like what the concept previews.
What makes the spy photos interesting this time, however, is that the interior of the MKX has also been spotted. Inside the cabin, the new generation Lincoln MKX model will be featuring a premium center console and a pair of cup holders between the driver’s and the front passenger’s seats. One thing that is missing from the interior is the conventional style transmission shift lever. The luxury American automaker has replaced it with a set of gear select buttons instead. These buttons can easily be found on the left of the central display panel. The 2015 Lincoln MKX will be coming with the MyLincoln Touch infotainment system.
Nevertheless, considering that Ford has replaced its MyFord Touch with the so-called SYNC 3 touchscreen system, Lincoln may as well do the same thing sometime in the near future.
