The new Opel Ampera: Specs and Price

Opel vigorously stirred the drum for the plug-in hybrid model Ampera. 5,000 orders have already been received and the first vehicles to be delivered yet 2011. Who ordered now, however, will not get the basic version for € 42 900.

Skeptics have been doubts that the Ampera despite additional four-cylinder gasoline engine will only be out electrically.

Opel’s latest press release: “The front wheels are permanently driven electrically Ampera”. Sounds however still looking for a small loophole – the rear wheels are not mentioned, could also forward all the rules of logic, both motors act simultaneously.
