Devon GTXNew American supercar Devon GTX will be introduced to the public at the Pebble Beach Councours d’Elegance on August 15, 2009.

Yesterday this all-new supercar was testing at the famed Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca where it set a new production car lap record time of 1:35.075.

For comparison Porsche 911 Turbo has lapped that ring in 1:39.89 and Nissan GT-R in 1:39.62.

“The Laguna Seca test session showed us just a glimpse of what the Devon GTX is capable of from a performance perspective,” said Devon Motorworks CEO and founder Scott Devon. “Through further validation and testing, we know this car is capable of even greater lap times and making an even stronger statement about the future of the American supercar.”

Before official debut on the 15th, Devon GTX is also going to the famous Nürburgring in Germany to attempt a new lap record. Production of the Devon GTX will start in early 2010.
